Ar hyn o bryd rwy’n gweithio fel Cymrawd Ymchwil yng Nghanolfan Iechyd Meddwl a Chymdeithas Prifysgol Bangor ac yn arweinydd y wlad ar gyfer mentrau ymdrin â hunan-niweidio De Asia yn India.
Yr wyf yn seiciatrydd wedi ei hyfforddi yn y DU gyda hyfforddiant ac arbenigedd penodol mewn cynnal astudiaethau epidemioleg seiciatryddol cwrs bywyd mewn gwledydd incwm isel a chanolig fel India. Derbyniais gymrodoriaeth Cynghrair Croeso India i archwilio llwybrau DOHaD (Gwreiddiau Datblygiadol Iechyd a Chlefydau) ar gyfer heneiddio gwybyddol mewn cofnodion carfan geni Mysore.
Rwy’n rhan o grŵp ymchwil cydweithredol sy’n cynnal sawl astudiaeth epidemioleg carfan geni a phoblogaeth i archwilio penderfynyddion cwrs bywyd canlyniadau gwybyddol, niwrolegol, iechyd meddwl a chardiometabolig yn ne India. Mae gennyf arbenigedd penodol mewn datblygu, dilysu ac addasu ymyriadau seicogymdeithasol i wella canlyniadau iechyd meddwl mewn lleoliadau sy’n brin o adnoddau.
Rwyf hefyd yn gyd-ymchwilydd gwasanaethau dementia ac ymchwil weithredol yn India, Tanzania a Brasil. Ariannwyd fy ngwaith gan grantiau gan Welcome Trust UK, Cyngor Ymchwil Feddygol y DU, Sefydliad Ymchwil Iechyd Canada, Cynghrair Byd-eang Clefydau Cronig y DU ac Adran Datblygu Rhyngwladol y DU.
