Professor Peter Lepping receives Honorary title from Bangor University

by Sioned Davies on 05th May 2021 in Uncategorised

We are delighted to announce that Bangor University has reappointed Dr Peter Lepping as Honorary Professor of Psychiatry within CFMHAS. Peter is a Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist who has a strong academic interest in clinical ethics. He has published extensively on a wide range of subjects, and he has an international profile for his work on delusional infestation and translation of findings in clinical trials into a measure of clinical significance. He has been a member of the European Violence in Psychiatry Research Group (EViPRG) since 2005. EViPRG is a network of international experts who work in the field of coercion and violence with the aim to reduce coercive measures and aggression in medical settings.

Peter has co-edited a text book “Psycho-dermatology in Clinical Practice” that will be published shortly by Springer.

Peter has been involved with CFMHAS from the beginning. He had a significant role in bringing together some of the key members the group that went on to lead GCRF-SASHI, and we look forward to continue his close working relationship with us in the years to come.
