- We are delighted to announce that Anne Krayer, one of our members, has received a ESRC, DTP PhD scholarship grant (Investigators M Jackson & A Krayer). The scholarship will start October this year and focuses on Optimising the effectiveness of Education about Psychosis in improving understanding and reducing stigmatising attitudes.
Effectively improving people’s understanding of psychosis is complex, as there are radically different perspectives on the disorder (e.g. biomedical/ psychosocial), which have different social and personal implications. The broad aims of this PhD project will be to:
- Empirically explore the effects of different ways of presenting information about psychosis
- Draw on these results to develop a nuanced, sensitive and effective education module on psychosis
- Evaluate the new module in practice.
