Sioned Davies
I have worked for Bangor University from 1991 to 2022 in a variety of administrative positions with the then School of Nursing and Midwifery, School of Social Sciences and now within the School of Healthcare Sciences. I joined the CFMHAS as the Programme Administrator for the South Asia Self-harm Initiative (SASHI) project in 2017. The project is a four-year MRC GCRF funded collaboration between institutions in South Asia and the UK which aims to help to find effective responses to deliberate self-harm and suicide in South Asia by building research infrastructure and expertise in India and Pakistan. This will allow each country to build a body of evidence to facilitate the development of culturally relevant and effective interventions, both social and medical. Within this project I moved to the University of Manchester and remain in this post.
In April 2023 I commenced a part time post as a Business Support Manager assisting Professor Rob Poole, Professor of Social Psychiatry and Dr Alberto Salmoiraghi, Medical Director for MH&LD for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
