Alberto Salmoiraghi
I qualified in medicine and surgery at the University of Milan. I had the opportunity to write a thesis in experimental research in psychiatry. I joined Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in 2007 as a Consultant Psychiatrist of the Home Treatment Team and Community Mental Health Team. I then progressed as Clinical Lead for East, Head of Acute Care and is currently the Medical Director for Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Division in North Wales. I am also the clinical lead for the Huntington’s Disease clinic. I am actively involved in research and teaching and obtained the title of Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Liverpool and Bangor University, visiting professor at Wrexham University. I am the vice Chair of the Royal College of Psychiatrists Wales.
