Marjorie Ghisoni

I am a registered mental health nurse and community practitioner with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and was awarded my PHD in 2012 which, focused upon narrative approaches to service user involvement in mental health nursing.  I have worked in education since 2001 and have published widely in books and journals on compassionate care, mental health recovery and rehabilitation, person centred care planning, narrative practice, resilience and study skills. I am course lead for mental health nursing undergraduates at Bangor University, a full time lecturer and have developed a new Interprofessional and International MSc in Mental Health Practice for September 2019 .

I am also a member of Mental Health Nurse Academics UK (MHNAUK) I am a reviewer for the Nursing Standard and on the Editorial Board of The Journal of Mental Health Training, Education and Practice. I am a member of the North Wales and North Powys Recovery Network and a Florence Nightingale Foundation scholar, after completing a travel scholarship in 2011 looking at nurse led mental health peer support in the USA, and Europe.
